We are continuing to expand our team and are looking to fill the position of Rocket Engine Design Engineer Systems & Component Design (m/f/d).

Your mission

• Design and development of rocket engine subsystems and components
• Translation of system requirements into subsystem and component designs
• Performance of system-level and component-level trade studies
• Integration of analytical results (performance, thermal, structural, fluid) into the design
• Support of engine integration, assembly, and test campaigns, including anomaly resolution
• Coordination of design changes through the engineering change process and maintenance of documentation
• Close collaboration with analysis, manufacturing, procurement, quality, and suppliers
• Communication with suppliers on manufacturability, materials, and design requirements, including review of supplier drawings

Your profile

• Degree in Space Engineering, Aerospace Engineering (M.Sc.) or similar
• Minimum of 2 years of full-time experience
• Profound understanding of the rocket engine design process and its subsystems
• Profound understanding of physics, fluid dynamics, manufacturing processes, rocket engine/propulsion systems
• Profound understanding of manufacturing methods of rocket engine components
• Proactive thinking, high level of motivation, flexibility, and team-working skills
• Proficiency in both German and English
• Knowledge of Creo is an advantage
• Experience with qualification/certification
• Work experience in a start-up environment
